Cross Platform - Build v0.9.9 Released!
Intro Story
Now we have a story introduction to the game world on startup. Here you will learn a little bit about our humble shop keeper and good friend Gunther. It's likely this screen will have some art in the future to pair with the story telling aspect.
Full screen helper
In the options you will notice a new setting. This will help to enable full screen on startup. This is just for Steam clients and not for the web version of the game. Once you enable this you can easily toggle full screen on startup with only a single click. (without moving your mouse to the maximize window button)
Hero level display
The hero display now has a total level in the top left area, along with your current EXP. Status has been moved slightly too. It's easier to see now from a glance how strong each hero is currently.
Game scaled to full camera size
Previously the game was using a fit mode that would have black bar sections on the left and right. Now the game will expand to use your full screen size available. This release was slightly delayed, as I was waiting for one bug fix in relation to Phaser v3.80 expand mode. We now have the fix in v3.85.beta.1 and I'll be upgrading to the stable Phaser v3.85 version once available.
Underground dungeon visuals
In the screen above you will notice the dungeons look much darker. This is to represent the dark nature of dungeons, as it made no sense having really bright lighting inside a dungeon. The snow biome levels will now look much brighter too as a nice contrast.
Steam Achievements
Working through Steam achievements at the moment. I have 10 added so far and hopefully will add some more before launch. The art will likely be placeholder for now until I can replace them with better versions.
Cross Platform Builds
Now I have made cross platform client builds available. The game clients have also gotten some updates to modernize them too.
Wrapping Up
That's all for now folks. Very happy with this game demo release and we are operating a 1 vs 1 event currently if you would like to test the game out and provide some feedback on our Discord. Thanks to all the players who have reported bugs and feedback so far!
