Welcome to Relic War!
It's been 3 years in development to get to this point. I've created a fun multiplayer dungeon game that has many unique hero characters to play with and enemies too.
Just some background info. I started working on this game at the start of 2020. It's built primarily with:
- MySql
- Colyseus
- Phaser
Also uses:
- VueJS
- Vuex
- Other web libs.
I started by building a small Phaser prototype to learn about isometric projection. Took me about 2 months.
After that I really felt I understood what isometric projection is and how to work with the calculations. I spent the next 6 months creating an isometric engine on top of Phaser.
Next I started work on the actual game in the beginning of 2020. I didn't have all the skills to do lovely isometric art, music and SFX. So I hired freelancers for all of them. This way I could focus on the programming and bringing it all together. I will say I've had so many really difficult challenges but I'm happy to have worked it out most of the time. The Phaser community has been so helpful and awesome at offering advice/solutions along the way. ❤️
